Octenidine - Mode of action

Rapidly effective against bacteria and fungi, residual effect for at least 48 hours, well tolerated, colorless, painless: due to its properties, the antiseptic molecule has become indispensable in numerous medical applications. It is widely used in wound care, patient decontamination, therapy of vaginal infections as well as skin and mucous membrane antiseptics, respectively. 

The video shows the mode of action of octenidine and explains why the development of resistance is not to be feared. Octenidine is also effective against antibiotic-resistant pathogens.
